Lynsey Cleaver
After finishing my MA in Art History by Research at
The University of Warwick in 2000, which was centred
on the reception of Marcel Duchamp’s oeuvre on
artists of the 1960’s, my interests have been firmly
rooted in art historical sources. Inspiration
for my own work comes from those artists whose works
are steeped in visual poetry, including Robert
Morris’s early work, Joseph Cornell, Cornelia
Parker, Jannis Kounelis, Robin Rhode and above all
Marcel Duchamp.
Lynsey Cleaver.
Tim Florence

My work brought me into close contact
with leading designers such as Wally Olins and
Mervyn Kurlansky co-founders of Wolff Olins and Pentagram
respectively, two of the world’s leading brand
design specialists. Working closely with people of
this calibre re-ignited my interest in art,
particularly in the emotional response that colour
and form produce. I have particular interest in
expressionism and abstract expressionism.
